Copas launches new 4 Axis Horizontal Milling capability

County Down based specialist engineering firm, Copas, has announced the launch of a new 4 Axis Horizontal Milling capability, following significant investment from the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) and the South-East Area Fisheries Local Action Group (SEAFLAG).

Shaun Copas, Managing Director of Copas, said: “Copas is delighted to launch its new 4 Axis Horizontal Milling capability. We would like to thank, DAERA’s SEAFLAG programme for their valued financial support of £112,500 towards this £400,000 investment.

"This investment further increases Copas’s capabilities and efficiencies. The project has created an additional five new full‐time positions.

"Copas employs over 40 highly skilled operators within our team, which contributes over £1.2million annually into the local South Down economy. Copas currently exports to the UK, USA and Asia.”
