Commercial flights resume at Bournemouth Airport
Commercial flights from Bournemouth returned yesterday, as Ryanair passengers took off for Malaga for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic, with more routes now available to book.

Throughout July 2020, additional flights will recommence from Bournemouth Airport to Alicante, Dublin, Faro, Girona, Krakow, Malta, Murcia, Palma, Paphos, Prague and Tenerife with Ryanair, with the airport yet to confirm start dates for other airlines.
TUI will recommence routes to Antalya, Corfu, Dalaman, Lanzarote, Palma and Tenerife from 1 August 2020.
Bournemouth Airport has remained open for medical and military flights and General Aviation throughout the coronavirus crisis and has welcomed the return of commercial flying with proactive measures in place to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and passengers.
Some of the measures which are currently in place at the airport include:
Enhanced cleaning in the terminal and throughout the site
Installation of additional hand sanitiser units
Installation of floor markings and signage (where feasible) so passengers can maintain a safe social distance
Protective desk screens and reduced capacity in public areas
Access and egress restrictions (one-way system)
Displaying the latest public health information throughout the airport, including regular announcements

In the middle of a difficult period for aviation and UK business as a whole, a return to commercial flying marks the first signs of recovery and gives a much-needed boost to regional and international air connectivity.”
Bournemouth Airport is part of Regional & City Airports (RCA), which also owns Coventry Airport, Exeter Airport and Norwich Airport and operates Blackpool Airport and Solent Airport Daedalus on behalf of their owners. RCA also operates XLR Executive Jet Centres (XLR), which has centres at Birmingham, Exeter and Liverpool airports.
