Cobham's RAIMS, already fitted on Airbus A380 and A350 XWB aircraft series, offers savings in space, weight, number of equipment required, acquisition and operation costs, while offering pilots a single point for communication control.

The A320 new digital RAIMS is based on an innovative and flexible system architecture and advanced equipment, designed with a new digital audio distribution technology. Cobham's digital RAIMS also allows Airbus to suppress specific audio routes.

Eiji Kawaishi, Senior Vice President of Cobham Aerospace Communications said, "This selection has been possible thanks to the high level of investment made by Cobham into advanced technologies. The development of world-leading technology means we are able to provide our customers with highly valuable products and services that contribute to the overall competitiveness of their platforms."
