The name change reflects the company’s commitment to more closely integrating its training and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) arms, and its intention to rapidly grow in the near future.

The move comes as the business plans to launch a new range of training and maintenance support services. Caerdav aims to soon introduce a dedicated line maintenance team and cabin crew attestation, expanding the company’s training capability to beyond the cockpit.

Joachim Jones, CEO, Caerdav, said: “Our new name, Caerdav, reflects our global ambition and growth plans. Since January, the company has undergone a substantial reconfiguring of operations which has seen us attract repeat business from TUI Airways and secure FAA approvals. Our future looks very bright indeed and we’re excited to face it with a new identity.”

Bruce Dickinson, Chairman, Caerdav, said: “It was a real moment of pride to found the business in 2012 and I can’t thank our engineers and instructors enough for their incredible work and commitment to date. Together with our management team, they make Caerdav a truly independent centre of excellence for aviation engineering and training.”
