ADS Vice-President for Security, Elizabeth Sheldon said: "The UK is fourth in the world for Cyber Security Exports but leads the area of innovative covert technologies and CTE-Q represents an opportunity for our companies to present their solutions to some of the most important customers in the world. I wish the exhibitors all the best for this inaugural event."
Exhibitors are all security cleared and/or US government sponsored personnel and members of the UK Aerospace Defence and Security (ADS) Covert Technology Suppliers Forum (CTSF), the UK's industry body for covert security technology. Furthermore, all exhibitors are existing suppliers to the Five Eyes intelligence community.
The Covert Technology Suppliers Forum (CTSF) is the UK Government-recognised special interest group for British companies who manufacturer covert technology products for law enforcement, homeland security, intelligence and military organisations. With around 50 member companies it provides a secure forum for government to discuss requirements and the opportunities presented by new technologies to help in the fight against terrorism and crime.
Event organiser Nigel Fraser Ker said: “By running the exhibition in Quantico we’ll be in the ‘back yard’ of agencies like the FBI and DEA, making it much easier for their staff to find out about the technologies we are developing and discuss their requirements in person.”
Technology areas covered will include advanced examples of:
Surveillance cameras and advanced lens systems
Secure video transmission
Audio surveillance
Radio direction finding
Geolocation and tracking
2G, 3G, 4G and 5G mobile phone interrogation, IMSI-grabbing and data analysis
Covert surveillance deployment tools and equipment
Covert digital storage & exploitation tools
CTE-Q is supported by the British embassy in Washington and the Department for International Trade (DIT). The exhibition takes place at the Holiday Inn Quantico Center, Dumfries, Virginia on the 1st and 2nd October 2019 and companies wishing to exhibit have until the end of August to register with the organisers.
