Barnbrook marking its 40th anniversary at its 12th Farnborough Airshow
Hampshire-based Barnbrook Systems Ltd has already started preparations for its 12th consecutive appearance at the world famous Farnborough International Airshow next summer (16-22 July), where the award-winning UK firm will mark its 40th anniversary.

It comes as the 35-strong business celebrates the 40th anniversary of its foundation by managing director Tony Barnett in 1978.
The family-owned firm is aiming for another successful show after Mr Barnett met PM David Cameron in 2014 and after a landmark deal with aerospace giant Leonardo in 2016 for Barnbrook’s innovative Refuelling Switch.
More than 100,000 trade visitors are expected at next year’s Farnborough International Airshow from July 16 to 20 before the event opens to the public over the weekend.

Barnbrook joins such companies as Bombardier, Gulfstream, Pilatus, Diamond Aircraft, Airbus and Boeing in confirming their attendance. Boom Supersonic will also be exhibiting with its supersonic commercial jet.
Managing director Tony Barnett said: “Barnbrook Systems has come an incredibly long way in the past four decades.
“The six-figure Leonardo deal at the 2016 airshow was a milestone of recent years and put our innovative technology on the radar of the global primes.
“Since then we have secured more business with Leonardo as well as major international aerospace clients.
“We’re aiming for another highly successful show in 2018, which would be the icing on the cake in our anniversary year.”
Barnbrook, based in Fareham, is a long-standing member of the Farnborough Aerospace Consortium (FAC), which is the longest established aerospace and defence trade body in the UK.
The firm is also a well-established member of aerospace, defence, security and space group ADS.
It is a prime contractor and subcontractor to the UK MOD, overseas Governments and many other major companies in different sectors, including rail and aviation.
Barnbrook’s BlueCube-enabled Refuelling Switch has intelligent sensing technology which monitors air pressure in fuel systems to minimise discharges through air vents – maximising efficiency, enhancing safety, delivering cost savings and heightening aircraft performance.
Leonardo placed an order for its class-leading AW101 aircraft for the Italian military at the airshow in 2016.
Barnbrook’s BlueCube – created by chief technology officer Andrew Barnett – delivers cutting-edge remote monitoring and sensing solutions to track the performance of different functions on such assets as trains and aircraft.
It has won national awards and industry accolades, with the latest including Air Transport Award 2017 for innovation.
