BAE Systems' Hunter Class Frigate team receive commendation
BAE Systems' Hunter Class Frigate Programme team who have received the Defence Industry Service Commendation recognising outstanding achievement and dedication in the application of skills, judgement and innovation in the defence industry for the benefit of Australias defence capability.

The commendation recognises the team’s contribution to the successful completion last year of the arrangements necessary to commence the Hunter Class Frigate Programme in earnest – the negotiation and agreement of the Head Contract and the acquisition of ASC Shipbuilding.
This work has laid the foundation for continuous naval shipbuilding and sovereign capability in Australia which will not only deliver nine state-of-the-art frigates but thousands of jobs within BAE Systems and across the supply chain for decades to come.
