Babcock International is showcasing its new global technology applications across complex assets at this yearÂ’s IQPC Surface Warships event, from 28th-30th January in London.

The event held at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in London is centred around ‘Naval power in a digital era’, with Babcock set to showcase two critical elements – iSupport360 and its technology enabled general purpose frigate, Arrowhead 140 – as it drives change across the defence industry.
Reflecting the changing world, and embracing a digitally enabled future, Babcock’s innovative iSupport360 approach delivers for customers in a number of new and exciting ways. By understanding how technology and modernisation are driving maritime complexity, Babcock’s expert teams will talk to delegates about how the company is well-placed to exploit technology and give customers total insight for their critical assets. With predictive technology and evolving solutions at customers’ fingertips, Babcock is bringing a whole new approach to managing data, information, engineering and technology in a way that is scalable and repeatable.
Supporting lifecycle engineering; automation and response inspection; and data and analytics, iSupport360’s use of virtual reality, digital twins and structured data, enables a greater understanding of customers’ complex assets. Benefitting from a transformational culture and, importantly, collaboration, the company’s 35,000 strong global workforce is trusted to deliver. Through its novel mobile, remote and connected technology, Babcock is providing the maintainer an in-depth understanding of the performance, maintenance and material condition of their assets.
This approach is being finalised as Babcock identifies opportunities for application across the Type 23 fleet with iFrigate, just one element of iSupport360, set to incorporate sensor technology to capture material-state data and inform decision-making. Furthermore, immersive virtual reality is already being used in planning and design aspects for some of the company’s critical programmes.
