Babcock secures marine training contract extension
Babcock International is investing in its growth potential as its Marine Training business secures a 36-month contract extension and expands to state-of-the-art new facilities in Hampshire.
The recently awarded Future Training Unit (FTU) contract extension will be responsible for the design and delivery of content and media for the UK’s Royal Navy, principally in support of training for the new Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carriers, and the FTU will commence in October 2018.

I am delighted that we are able to play our part in delivering high quality training content and media support for those destined for employment on the nation’s two new aircraft carriers.”
Babcock’s Marine Training team has secured operating space within the brand new Innovation Centre at Fareham, Hampshire. This £7 million facility, located on the edge of the former HMS Daedalus site, aims to create a supportive ecosystem for growing businesses across the marine, engineering and aerospace sectors and Babcock will be able to utilise this location to reach out to a number of new and existing customers and collaborators.”

Babcock is growing its Marine Training team with additional resource requirements identified across media and content developer specialisms. Core roles within the team, they will deliver innovative training solutions that can be utilised by our naval customers.
