The Future Maritime Support Programme (FMSP) is  worth around £3.5 billion and will run until March 2026, replacing the previous Maritime Support Delivery Framework (MSDF). This complex contract reinforces Babcock’s position as a naval business with specialist expertise which ensures the Royal Navy goes to sea safely by delivering reliability and increased platform availability, supported by innovative marine technology solutions.

The contract covers:

HMNB Clyde and HMNB Devonport: Ships Engineering management

HMNB Clyde and HMNB Devonport: Submarine Engineering management

HMNB Devonport: Naval Base Services, including Soft Facilities Management, Hard Facilities Management, Alongside service sand Warehousing & Distribution

HMNB Clyde: Naval Base Services, including Hard Facilities Management and Alongside Service

This underpins Babcock’s Strategic Partnering Programme with the UK Government and MoD across a number of critical programmes.

FMSP is made up in total of 11 contracts, replacing the Maritime Support Delivery Framework and Submarine Deep Maintenance Period contracts. These remaining four contracts complete the contract awards and FMSP now reached Initial Operating Capability. The contracts will form part of the £5.2-billion Future Maritime Support Programme (FMSP) and sustain over 9,400 British jobs.
