Air Charter Scotland are renowned as one of the foremost private jet operators in the UK, with a modern fleet of luxury VIP jets and a worldwide Air Operator Certificate.

The current CEO acquired Air Charter Scotland in 2003 and it has now grown from its first Turbo-Prop aircraft to become one of the preferred global private jet operators of choice, managing a fleet of luxury jets.

Derek Thomson, Commercial Director of Air Charter Scotland, who accepted the award at BACA’s award ceremony last week, said: “Many thanks to all at BACA for this prestigious industry award. Over the years, Air Charter Scotland has gained a wealth of aircraft management experience and our flight safety record is second to none. Our experienced operations team have handled everything from music tours to medical emergencies and World Cup tournaments to time-critical cargo. We have flown Heads of State, corporate executives, entrepreneurs, celebrities and private individuals and are committed to doing everything possible to exceed all expectations.”

“At Air Charter Scotland our greatest asset is our people. Our pilots and cabin crew are employed full-time and trained to the highest standards, and we are keen to invest in our staff by training and offering further opportunities for progression within the company. This is the reason why our crew and staff are able to deliver the best service in the industry.”

The BACA Awards recognise both operators and suppliers leading the way in terms of the standard of their service within the aviation industry. The Awards are determined by a panel of international judges representing many of the industry’s key regional and trade associations, and the award shortlist is also voted on by the entire BACA membership, which means that they are held in high regard worldwide.
