The inaugural ADS Live 2021 held earlier this week was a chance to bring together members across the aerospace, defence, security and space sectors whilst we remain unable to meet face to face.
After a difficult year for many members, we considered themes of resilience, innovation and opportunity and what they mean for our sectors. The event opened with a short video reflecting on these themes with IPC Mouldings, GKN Aerospace, Spirit AeroSystems and Williams Advanced Engineering offering their perspectives. View video.
The Rt Hon Kwasi Kwarteng MP then delivered a Political Keynote and talked about why we can look to a more optimistic 2021 as well as covering Government priorities on net zero and the Prime Minister’s 10 point plan for a green industrial revolution.
Katherine Bennett CBE, Senior Vice President, Airbus, chaired the event and was ‘in conversation’ with Tony Wood, President, ADS & CEO, Meggitt to discuss the latest priorities for ADS and our industries.
Kevin Michaels, Managing Director, AeroDynamic Advisory and Deborah Haynes, Foreign Affairs Editor, Sky News provided an international industry outlook, discussing key issues for our sectors.
The event finished with ADS Interim CEO Kevin Craven providing his outlook for members.
