This week saw another successful edition of Farnborough International Airshow Connect. Presented by FINN and supported by ADS, the second annual online event offered aerospace and defence professionals a place to connect and collaborate together to progress developments in key industry issues, with pivotal and insightful discussion.
The inspiring event saw 60 international speakers from across academia, industry and Government deliver 15 engaging, online sessions over 3 days. ADS was delighted to see many members participate and showcase the UK’s world-leading aerospace and defence expertise.
Aviation & Aerospace
The future of air travel post COVID-19 and sustainability dominated discussions. On Wednesday, the Chief Technology Officers of Airbus, Boeing, GE Aviation, Raytheon Technologies, Rolls-Royce and Safran discussed and set the aerospace sustainability agenda, focused on reaching net zero by 2050. In conjunction with this discussion, ADS launched an infographic illustrating the route and industry’s commitment to achieving Net Zero Aviation emissions by 2050.
