£39.3bn in deals done on day 1 of Farnborough Airshow,  according to ADS Group

Deals worth GBP39.3bn (USD51bn) were announced during day one of the Farnborough International Airshow, taking place this week in Hampshire.

These include 163 Firm aircraft orders that are worth GBP4.6bn to the UK.

The figures are shared by ADS Group, which encompasses trade association ADS and event organisers Farnborough International.

The GBP39.3bn announced during day one of the five-day biennial event also includes 28 firm engine orders.

The day one deal total further highlights 114 optional aircraft and engine commitments made, with further service agreements included, too.
