TODAY’S R&D IS TOMORROW'S COMMERCIAL ADVANTAGE – ARE YOU TAKING ADVANTAGE OF OUR R&D IN SCOTLAND?

ADS Scotland is delighted to partner with Scottish Universities on the next briefings series focussing on topics around R&D Technology.

Taking place weekly over 3 months, the seventh session is on: Robotics for Extreme environments, what is the next frontier? in partnership with Heriot-Watt University.

Robots can now safely map and inspect many infrastructures and natural environments in remote and harsh locations.

However to fulfil the full potential of robotics, we need to go a step further and develop solutions that enable robots to intervene through advanced manipulation.

This session will present some of the key achievements of the ORCA Hub, a large scale project which has developed many technologies for the future of offshore robotics. It will also explore where to go next and how this can unlock the true potential of robotics.

Speaker: Prof. Yvan Petillot
