As future UK Defence investment is being considered under the forthcoming Integrated Review Refresh, one thing is clear – we are not maximising what we already have. To meet today’s threat, UK Defence must integrate better across the single services, between capabilities, with allies and partners, and with industry. More than ‘Joint’, integrated capabilities don’t just create synergies between one capability and another, they can generate effect that is more than the sum of their parts.
