ADS would like to gauge levels of interest in joining a United Kingdom Pavilion at the 18th edition of the Dubai Airshow.
Dubai Airshow, renowned as the largest aerospace and defence event in the Middle East, will take place at its purpose-built venue at Dubai World Central. Beyond a typical airshow format, Dubai Airshow features a two-day space programme, as well as a focus on advanced aerial mobility. Additionally, the 'Make It in the Emirates' programme offers international companies’ insights into UAE manufacturing opportunities.
Market Insight
The UK and UAE share an important strategic defence relationship, highlighted by the signing of the joint communiqué marking the inaugural UK-UAE Strategic Dialogue. Alongside this, both nations agreed to further collaboration between their air forces through UK participation in the Advanced Tactical Leadership Course, with UK jets from the Carrier Strike Group and increased land exercises in the UAE.
This joint statement comes amidst the UAE’s surge in defence expenditure, signalling a comprehensive modernisation drive aimed at fortifying its military capabilities amidst escalating regional tensions. The nation’s defence budget is projected to reach £23.4 billion by 2029, demonstrating the country’s strategic imperative to bolster its Armed Forces and adapt to evolving security challenges. There is a broad ranging modernisation effort across the UAE armed forces, to include the Air Force and Maritime Air capability, with a focus on expeditionary warfare. In addition, the UAE is enhancing its air defence capability, with a view to countering ballistic missile threats.
The Dubai Airshow is a key platform for driving growth and innovation in the aerospace market, propelled by significant investments in technology and infrastructure. With a focus on emerging technologies, the show highlights various aerospace markets including Commercial and Business Aviation, Aircraft Interiors and MRO. Furthermore, this year the groundbreaking Advanced Aerial Mobility pavilion will host the cutting-edge of eVTOLs, futuristic drones, and high-tech UAVs in a showcase of next-generation aviation. The Airshow also supports startups through exclusive pitch competitions, investor-startup meetings, and mentorship clinics.
Space has been integrated as a vital aspect of the Dubai Airshow, in partnership with the UAE Space Agency, making it an essential hub for making meaningful connections and generating new business opportunities with the space sector leaders, both regionally and globally.
