ADS would like to gauge levels of interest in joining the ADS Pavilion at Advanced Engineering 2025: a leading UK conference and exhibition event where the entire manufacturing ecosystem connects to move the industry forward, tackle challenges, and stay ahead of the trends for the next five years.

Hosted at the NEC in Birmingham, it elevates industry to the global stage, championing collaboration, excellence, and innovation with:

  • 400+ leading suppliers
  • 9,000 engineering professionals
  • 180+ leading speakers

This year, ADS are exploring the opportunity to host a Pavilion for members, offering them the chance to exhibit at the show. This is an ideal opportunity for members who have not previously exhibited at Advanced Engineering.

ADS has hosted a Meet the Buyer (MTB) at Advanced Engineering for the last three years, and will be delivering the MTB programme once again (more details to follow). The Meet the Buyer event at Advanced Engineering has enabled suppliers to meet with companies that are actively seeking capabilities, engage with the right people within the procurement and supply chain functions, and to connect with companies outside of their primary sectors.

Market Insights

The UK is a global hub for advanced manufacturing. The Government’s ambition is for the UK to be the best place in the world to start and grow a manufacturing business.

The UK's Advanced Manufacturing Plan was officially released by the Department for Business & Trade in December 2023. It is a five-year plan designed to revitalise the country's industrial capacity and establish the groundwork for sustained expansion.

The Advanced Manufacturing Plan outlines three main priorities for the government:

  • Targeting investment in the future of manufacturing in the UK
  • Cooperating internationally to build supply chain resilience
  • Reducing costs and barriers to boost competitiveness

Aerospace is a key part of the plan with £975 million being made available for the aerospace sector to support the development of energy efficient and zero-carbon aircraft technology.
