A lot has happened since the last edition of Global Aerospace Outlook in 2019. Brexit, global pandemic and consequent international health crisis, unprecedented near stop of civil aviation, supply chain challenges, slow recovery and ease of restrictions and then international travel. Despite this in 2021, UK aerospace achieved £22.4 billion in turnover, with £15.2 billion worth of exports. The industry supported 111,000 direct jobs, of which 5,500 are apprentices.
