On October 26, ADS will be hosting a sustainability in aerospace event at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, in the lead up to COP26 in November, organised in association with knowledge partner BCG.
The event will feature a forum of CTOs from global aerospace companies gathering to discuss the steps the aerospace industry is taking to strive towards a more sustainable future, followed by a panel on industry perspectives on sustainability in defence and supply chains, and a panel of future leaders discussing the next generation of sustainability leadership. Concluding the event will be a technology showcase, demonstrating the latest in climate change technology from ADS members.
As nations gear up ahead of the COP26 conference in Glasgow in November, the focus on sustainability in aerospace continues to grow and this event will provide an engaging opportunity for the industry to demonstrate its commitment to reducing carbon emissions. UK industry has committed to net zero carbon emissions by 2050 and has a clear and credible plan to achieve this. The discussions and debates that ADS will be hosting at its pre-COP26 event will reaffirm these plans and demonstrate the innovation and expertise that will drive aerospace to a greener future.
More information on the event will be provided in due course, including specific timings, panellists, and exhibitors. Should you be interested in attending the event, please email ADS’ Aerospace Policy Adviser, Andy Phillips, at andy.phillips@adsgroup.org.uk, to express your interest.
