Delivering for Defence on Salisbury Plain
UK Power Networks Services operates power infrastructure across large and complex sites as part of the Ministry of Defence’s Allenby/Connaught project. They understand the pressures placed on Defence budgets and recognise the unique challenges of security, sustainability and the impact on the daily operations of those living, working and training within Defence sites.
Working as part of a multi‐utility joint venture with Veolia, they upgraded and operate and maintain the electricity infrastructure that enables the rebuild and refurbishment of living and working accommodation for nearly 19,000 military personnel and their families. They continue to support the project’s sustainability ambitions by providing electricity infrastructure for the adoption of electric vehicles.
