Round eight of Brexit negotiations between the UK and EU started this week, looking to finalise the UK’s future relationship with the EU.
Throughout the negotiations, ADS has directly communicated industry’s priorities to the UK Government and European Commission to seek the best possible agreement for our sectors. We also continue to review guidance from the Government and related authorities on actions members can take to prepare for the end of the Transition Period.
As we close in on the end of 2020 and approach the end of the transition period with the EU, there will be developments at pace, and ones that will be important to our members as they look towards doing business with and in the European Union in 2021 and beyond. To mark this ramp up of activity, ADS has refreshed the Brexit Hub – industry’s source of information as to what’s happened, what’s coming up and what it means for them.
Sections of the Brexit Hub now include:
- Preparing for the End of the Transition Period
- The Latest Updates on UK-EU Negotiations
- What Happens Next? The Brexit Timeline
- Future Free Trade Agreements and Global Trade Arrangements
The information on the Brexit Hub is being updated regularly to ensure our members stay informed with the latest developments and what it means for their businesses.
The fortnightly Brexit Bulletin email featuring analysis from our policy and public affairs experts on the latest negotiations as well as updates on new guidance and regulations as they come in will be resuming and you can sign up to receive them here.
ADS Preparing for Brexit Webinar Series
ADS will be beginning a Preparing for Brexit webinar series. The first instalment will be on 24 September with EY presenting on How the Northern Ireland Protocol Will Affect Your Business.
ADS Brexit Risk Register
ADS members also have access to the Risk Register via the Members area of the website. To create the Risk Register, we worked with our members to identify key questions across policy areas where clarity is required and then answered these questions where possible and flagged where clarity is dependent on the negotiations. To view the Risk Register, please click here to login.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding Brexit that haven’t been covered in the Brexit Hub or Risk Register, please get in touch.
