Following the publication of the Green Paper for the Industrial Strategy, ADS and UKspace are delighted to announce that we will co-moderate a panel and Q&A session with HMG for our members on the space themes in the Industrial Strategy. In doing so, we hope to help the sector understand current government thinking and ensure our members have the opportunity to engage directly with officials from Department for Business & Trade (DBT), Department for Science, Innovation & Technology (DSIT) and Ministry of Defence (MoD).
It is well understood that space underpins at least £364bn UK GDP – and is a key enabler of economic growth across the sectors identified in the Green Paper with a particularly strong presence in Advanced Manufacturing, Defence, and Digital and Technology. We welcome this opportunity as a reflection of our sector’s strategic importance at the heart of the UK’s prosperity and national security. The Green Paper consultation closes on 24 November 2024, and HMG officials are keen to offer insight into this process.
