Market insight
This year, Estonia is forecasted to spend 3.4% of its GDP on defence, the second highest in the NATO alliance. The Chief of Defence Forces has also indicated that spending will remain above 3% for the foreseeable future, potentially reaching as high as 5%, with additional calls for an immediate €1.6 billion investment in ammunition. This increased spending, along with the creation of a €50 million accelerated defence investment fund, presents a significant opportunity for the UK Defence and Security sector.
