ADS’ statement on the right to protest peacefully: The right to a peaceful protest is one that is critical to UK society. ADS and our members have always – and will continue – their support to that right throughout our country.
Peaceful protests, however, do not endanger the lives of our police force, workers, and indeed, cause mass destruction to property. Such incidents must be appropriately dealt with by our security services.
It is imperative that the recommendations from the Lord Walney report are implemented as soon as possible.
