From the moons of Jupiter to space debris wrangling, join us for this hybrid briefing with Julie Black, Missions & Capabilities Director for Discovery and Sustainability at UK Space Agency.

Among the eight key priorities of the UK Space Agency are efforts to maintain the UK's position as a global leader in space science and exploration missions, as well as deliver capabilities to track objects in orbit, reduce or remove debris and lead global regulation and best practice to make space activities more sustainable.

The Agency Director responsible for this important work is Julie Black, who oversees four Agency teams including the Space Science and Space Exploration teams as well as those focussed on Space Surveillance & Tracking, and Space Sustainability and Active Debris Removal (ADR). These teams are involved with a wide variety of space activities, from the UK’s participation in major science missions such as the dark-matter-mapper, Euclid, and the Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (JUICE) to ADR projects led by Astroscale and ClearSpace.

As the ADS Space Sector continues with its upward trajectory, this ADS event, in partnership with the UK Space Agency, will provide ADS members with the opportunity to hear about Julie’s key work and priorities, to ask questions about how your organisation can get involved, and how ADS can support this.
